ISISPACE built and supported Kleos Space’s third satellite cluster, the Polar Patrol Mission (KSF2), which consists of four satellites launched in 2022 on a SpaceX Falcon 9. With over 15 years of experience in nanosatellite development, ISISPACE also prepared Kleos’ second satellite cluster, the Polar Vigilance Mission (KSF1), for launch. The company provided a complete turn-key solution, handling satellite design, development, production, testing, launch integration, and early orbit phase support. The Polar Patrol Mission enhanced Kleos’ ability to deliver high-value radio frequency reconnaissance data, increasing coverage and improving intelligence services.

Kleos’ third satellite cluster operates in a 500-600 km Sun-Synchronous Orbit, doubling coverage over both poles and complementing the existing Scouting and Polar Vigilance Missions. This expansion strengthened global surveillance and geolocation capabilities, allowing Kleos to provide improved intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) data. The satellites detect and geolocate RF transmissions to track illegal activities such as piracy, smuggling, border security threats, and illegal fishing. ISISPACE’s partnership with Kleos supported the development of additional satellite clusters, facilitating scalable constellation growth to enhance global RF data collection capabilities.
